Grumpy Grandma’s is a family owned and run business located in the Byron Bay Hinterland. We grow olives and turn them into delicious olive and extra virgin olive oil products. Our specialties are our cured olives in brine, wood smoked olives and our totally moreish semi-dried olives. Three key varieties are used across our olive range; Kalamata, Manzanillo and Hardy Mammoth. Our extra virgin olive oil is a blend of early harvested Frantoio and Koroneiki olives. We’re trialling several new speciality varieties at our grove in Rosebank - watch this space! We simply love olives and are super proud of what we do, please enjoy!

Grumpy Grandma’s semi dried olives are a special product that all olive lovers will enjoy.
To create Grumpy Grandma’s semi dried olives, our Kalamata olives are pitted, brined, washed and then dried for 20 hours at around 65 degrees. The olives then rest for a further 24 hours before being seasoned with quality Australian ingredients. This results in a soft, melt in your mouth, flavoursome, moreish olive.
Our Moroccan semi dried olives are one of our most popular and incorporate flavours of paprika, cardamom and garlic.
A fantastic addition to your wine and cheese evenings the Moroccan flavour semi dried olives go well with a crumbly goat or Feta cheese.
All our semi dried olives can be eaten as a snack on their own - watch out they can be quite addictive!
