Grumpy Grandma’s is a family owned and run business located in the Byron Bay Hinterland. We grow olives and turn them into delicious olive and extra virgin olive oil products. Our specialties are our cured olives in brine, wood smoked olives and our totally moreish semi-dried olives. Three key varieties are used across our olive range; Kalamata, Manzanillo and Hardy Mammoth. Our extra virgin olive oil is a blend of early harvested Frantoio and Koroneiki olives. We’re trialling several new speciality varieties at our grove in Rosebank - watch this space! We simply love olives and are super proud of what we do, please enjoy!

People come back again and again for our wood smoked olives. A totally moreish blend of Kalamata and Manzanillo olives (depending on availability) these delicacies are cold smoked by hand over cherry wood here on our farm in Rosebank. They are then rested for 24 hours before being brined and packed. The result, a rich, plump, smoky flavoured olive.
These smoked olives offer up something different on your antipasto platter.
They go well served with fried halloumi or you can serve them warm as an extra special snack with an early evening beer or wine.
